Vinci’s rescuer posted “lost dog” signs for three weeks.
When no one claimed him, she took him to the Bayou veterinary clinic. Doctors said Vinci looked about a year old.

Barbara, one of the vet technicians, thought Vinci was adorable and took him to her house.
Vinci stayed with Barbara for nearly a month. But Barbara’s Chihuahua put down an ultimatum: “It’s me or Vinci!”
