Leonardo da Vinci's dog
Vinci was rescued from a four-lane highway and lives with his beloved missies in Tampa, Florida.
Vinci is now recovering from a ruptured disc. His missies are trying to raise the money to pay his vet bills.

The most recent study of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, using cutting edge imagining technology, has revealed the most probable reason proposed to date for the lady's smile: she was holding the master's mutt, known to his friends as Vinci. With a bundle of canine cuteness like that, who couldn't help but smile?

Cutting edge veterinary technology is now being used to restore little Vinci to health following a ruptured disc. The cost of his restoration is rapidly approaching that of restoring the Mona Lisa herself, and his caring owners need some help.

This is Vinci's website. Here you will find his story, how you can help and how we will repay your generosity.

You will also find Vinci-inspired doggierel, interviews and  related veterinary information.

Please help us fill in Vinci's body - the current goal is $6,000, but the bills keep coming. Anything left over will be donated to Frankie's Friends. As the money comes in, Vinci's body will grow some hair!

These photographs were taken at my rhemotologist's office when I was there for an appointment. They are very dog friendly there, which unusual for a doctor's office. The first day I brought Vinci home I had an appointment with them which I couldn't change. I didn't know what to do with Vinci, as it was too hot in the car. They allowed me to bring him in when I went for my treatment.

From that day own he became part of their family too.

Vinci is taking more steps but his back is still swaying from side to side and he still has sores on his feet from dragging them.
